With years of experience and testing, we are perfecting the ultimate prop shaft solution for UTVs. Contrary to popular belief, the vibration issues in many OEM applications is not caused by the carrier bearing.  U-joints oscillate by design; this movement causes vibrations.  The vibrations will prematurely wear on components such as bearings or output shafts.  Our CV design eliminates the problem:  the u-joint.

RCV Performance Products prop shaft feature specially designed CVs at each end. This design eliminates all vibration and carrier bearing noise with the UTV!  The RCV design uses our 300M CVs and and upgraded isolated bearing, eliminating any concern of carrier bearing failure or u-joint phasing with the smooth operation of CVs.  The RCV prop shaft is made from 4130 chromoly tubing OR carbon fiber and utilizes 300M CV components that ensure strength and reliability.  Prop shaft and components are completely sealed and rebuildable.

CARBON FIBER

The carbon fiber design with hard-coated 7075 aluminum end yokes is nearly HALF the weight of OEM, reducing rotational mass, increases acceleration, and reduces any possibility of vibration. Additionally, the dampening effect of carbon fiber will reduce shock load and stress on other components such as transmission and front differential. The heavier steel tube will see deflection at high-RPM critical speed, the low mass and high rigidity of carbon fiber reaches a critical speed much higher than any UTV is capable of.  The RCV CV design is unmatched in smoothness and strength over any u-joint prop shaft.  The new RCV prop shaft features 300M CV components that ensure maximum strength. 

 Prop shaft and components are completely sealed and rebuildable.

A component made from Carbon Fiber of the same diameter and thickness:

   • 50% lighter than aluminum

   • 31% more rigidity than aluminum

   • 60% greater strength than aluminum

   • 5 times lighter than steel

Carbon Fiber propshafts have a lower rotational mass (weigh less) than aluminum or steel, which allows the engine’s power to be applied much more efficiently to the ground.
